About the Journal

The Journal does not accept manuscripts already published or under evaluation by other scientific journals; published in full or in part on the internet; parts of theses and dissertations, nor texts published in scientific event proceedings.

 PEER REVIEW

REVISTA REALIDADE SOCIAL is open to contributions in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The submitted manuscripts are evaluated for originality, importance of the theme and the quality of the scientific methodology used. The editorial norms adopted by the journal are also taken into account. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated by one or more referees specialized in the subject of the submitted article. The evaluation is done anonymously, by double blind review, ensuring confidentiality throughout the review process.

Once the evaluation is completed, the accepted manuscripts are forwarded to the authors for corrections (if applicable) and/or for them to become aware of the suggested changes.

At the end of the process, the decision is communicated by the Editor-in-Chief, who has direct contact with the authors.

Texts with confirmation of plagiarism will be immediately rejected. The journal adopts systems to identify plagiarism in the texts it receives.

 PERIODICITY

REVISTA REALIDADE SOCIAL is a biannual journal.

The RRS offers free access to its contents, following the principle of democratization of scientific knowledge.

ETHICS AND RESEARCH

The journal adopts the principles contained in the Codes of Ethics of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS

We receive articles on a continuous flow, i.e. manuscripts can be submitted at any time of the year. We do not publish two or more articles from the same author(s) in a single issue. Authors must wait for an interstice of at least 6 months before new articles can be published in the journal.

Observations:

The journal is not responsible for the bibliographical references provided by the authors.

Papers, even if not accepted for publication, will not be returned.

The original articles submitted must be definitely revised and adequate to the Portuguese language norms in force in Angola. Texts written according to the new orthographic agreement may be accepted.

The concepts and statements contained in the papers are the sole responsibility of the authors.

The papers reflect the opinions of their authors and not necessarily those of the Editorial and Scientific Committee of the journal.
