Abstract

The object of this article was to analyse the impact of the General State Budget (GSB) for Education, in its economic component, on the development of education in General Education in the Municipality of Huambo, in the period 2012-2015. In the methodological field, given the general objective outlined, we opted to carry out a qualitative investigation, using documentary analysis developed from a descriptive approach as the fundamental procedure. This study concluded that the description of economic policies in education in Angola is the result of regional and international forums on education for all. The biggest obstacles to the implementation of economic policies in education in Angola were drawn up following the Sectoral Examination of Education in 1992 and the National Framework Plan for Restructuring the Education System in 1995. The main causes are: the long period of civil war, the massive destruction of infrastructure, and the difficulty of creating a stabilized school network since independence, which takes into account credible statistics of a target population that is more or less permanently fixed.
