Abstract

In this special issue of the Revista Científica do ISCED-Huíla, the Institution reaffirms its commitment to promoting scientific research and disseminating knowledge oriented toward the sustainable development of Angola. The articles compiled in this edition address contemporary and relevant issues for Angolan society, highlighting the role of scientific research in understanding and resolving the challenges faced by the sectors of education, citizenship, social inclusion, and human development. The edition opens with a reflection on road traffic accidents in the city of Lubango, a topic of growing social concern. The study emphasizes road education and awareness as fundamental instruments for accident prevention and the promotion of a safety culture among road users, reinforcing the need to integrate these contents into both formal and informal educational processes.
