The project "Cine School: Light, Camera, Education," linked to the Center for Human Rights Studies at the State University of Tocantins – NEDIH/UNITINS, aims to promote reflection and dialogue among students on human rights through the screening of documentaries and films. The main focus is to establish a connection between elementary and high school students and the university environment, encouraging reflections, debates, and awareness through interdisciplinary approaches, especially involving students from public schools and academics from the State University of Tocantins. Cine School sessions involved the participation of state schools in Palmas, taking place between February and June 2023. The films addressed human rights issues and current topics, engaging students in activities that sparked their curiosity. Following the screenings, students were introduced to the Unitins facilities when held on its campus, with a brief oral introduction during sessions held at schools. Subsequently, discussions on the themes of the films and documentaries were facilitated to contribute to students' learning, enriching their knowledge and fostering their argumentative skills.
