Educational alternatives in times of pandemic, challenges and perspectives of teachers in the teaching-learning process

Abstract

This study presents the impact that Facebook and WhatsApp had as a didactic alternative in times of Pandemic in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanity.  The study is quali-quantitative in nature with recourse to participatory observation, literature review and questionnaire survey addressed to a population with representativeness of ten (10) teachers and thirty (30) students assigned to the Department of Education. The opinions of teachers and students on the influence of Facebook and WhatsApp pointed to WhatsApp as the social network most used for scientific exchange in times of pandemic, despite material and financial difficulties. This technological resource proved to be a didactic alternative for teaching-learning, so it would be necessary for managers to bet on technological resources of this nature to improve students' learning.
