Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.Author Guidelines
Submission standards
In order to respect the blind evaluation system, authors must delete in the text and the properties of the word.doc file, any information and references that allow the identification of authorship, should be deleted from the document (word) submitted to RAEU – Angolan Journal of University Extension. The name (s) of the author (s) in full, academic affiliation, province, country, e-mail and orcid number, must be entered in the User register area, or by changing the user profile data in the system.
Multiple authorship
Will be allowed a maximum of 4 (four) authors per manuscript. We will reject those who exceed this number.
Presentation of manuscripts
Articles must bring a page containing the title of the article in 3 (three) languages: Portuguese (bold, centered, size 12), English (normal, centered, size 12) and Spanish (normal, centered, size 12) , without identifying the authors in the text of the article or in the file sent.
Abstract
The abstract of the article must be written in three languages: Portuguese (resumo), English (abstract) and Spanish (resumen). The title must be in size 12, bold and justified, single-spaced (1.0).
The abstract text must be written in Times New Roman, size 12, justified, single spacing, maximum of 250 words and must be accompanied by the keywords, with a maximum of 3 (three), separated by a comma ",".
General remarks on the structure of the article and rules
Structure: The article must be presented in word.doc format 1.5 spacing. Times New Roman, size 12. The text must have the following structural parts (including references, tables and figures, if applicable): Introduction (without sub topics); Method (identify subsections: participants, instruments or materials and procedures); Results; Discussion (including conclusion) and References. Depending on the type of article, it can follow other specific actions (see structure of the text subtypes below).
Extension of manuscripts: between 35,000 and 45,000 characters with space, for articles in the Dossier and Articles sections (including the abstract , footnotes and, at most, one page of essential bibliography); between 10 and 20 thousand characters with spaces for the "Reports and reflections" section; up to 3,500 characters with space for the "Reviews, theses and dissertations" section.
Margins: Manuscripts must have 2.5 margins, top, bottom, right and left.
Tables: should be inserted in the body of the text, numbered sequentially and with the appropriate indication of source and / or authorship.
Graphics: should follow the same orientation as the tables. In order not to compromise the Journal's aesthetic standard and the digitization process, graphics should also be sent in Excel.
Figures, photos and illustrations: they must be numbered sequentially and sent in high resolution in separate files.
The first time that acronyms or abbreviations are mentioned, indicate their equivalence in full. Do not use acronyms and abbreviations in the abstract or in the title of the article.
Types of published texts
Original articles: works arising from theoretical research (narrative review of the literature or meta-analysis) or empirical (qualitative or quantitative) that refer to university extension and / or its interface with other areas of knowledge, especially the area of ??educational sciences. They must have 15 to 25 pages (including abstracts, references, tables and figures). They must have the following structural parts (including references, tables and figures, if applicable): Introduction (without sub topics); Method (identify subsections: participants, instruments or materials and procedures); Results; Discussion (including conclusion) and References.
The articles can still be in the following subcategories, and in all cases they can have between 15 and 25 pages:
- Theoretical articles: with critical analysis of current topics. Authors must explain the development of the theory and how it serves to expand concepts, present a new theory or critically analyze an existing theory. The structure of this type of article may vary in order and content. It is mandatory to contain: introduction (may contain subtopics), development (with themes and subthemes) and conclusion.
- Review articles : based on literature review and state of the art. Mandatory structure: Introduction (without subtopics); Method (criteria used to delimit the analyzed material, procedures for collecting documentary data and analysis procedures); Results; Discussion (including conclusion) and References.
- Case study articles: resulting from a case study. It must obey the following structure: Introduction (without subtopics); Method (characterization of the case under analysis, assessment and intervention procedures); Results; Discussion of the case (including conclusion) and References.
Review : critical reflection on works from a field of knowledge or interface between areas of knowledge. The reviewed works must be recent (published no more than five years ago) and their theme must have recognized importance in the literature of the area. Must have 02 to 08 pages
Professional experience report (internship) : an article that presents a description of individual or collective experience of a specific intervention proposal, that makes the theory / practice counterpoint and accurately indicates the conditions for carrying out the reported experience (12 to 25 pages).
Interview : Report of an interview conducted with National and International researchers of great scientific relevance to the field of Psychology. Evaluations carried out by the Editorial Board and Executive Team (05 to 15 pages).
Special Section : in this modality, of an eventual nature, texts will be selected that do not fit in the modalities provided for in the journal, which bring relevant contribution to both readers and the scientific community, such as: management report, conferences of renowned national or international authors presented in scientific events, translation of articles or texts by international authors, which are unpublished in Portuguese, among others defined by the editorial team of the journal.
Citations in the body of the text
Quotations with up to 3 lines: must appear in the body of the text, in double quotation marks ("..."), without italics.
Quotation with more than 3 lines: in a paragraph highlighted in the text (with 4 cm indentation), without quotation marks, without italics and with Times New Roman font, size 10 and single spacing.
The 'single quotation marks' are used to indicate quotation within the quotation.
Use author, page and date system for direct citations (Costa, 2016, p. 20) and author, date for indirect citations (Costa, 2016)
Footnotes
They must contain only: the author's name (surname, full name), the title of the work (in italics) and the cited page number (if applicable). The other complementary indications will be contained in the final bibliography. If the reference is not mentioned in the final bibliography, complementary information must be included in the footer: city, publisher and year of publication.
Avoid using expressions:
Idem - To refer, subsequently, to the same author. Ibidem - To refer to, subsequently, the same author, the same work. Op. Cit . - To reference the same work. Apud - To refer to an author, whose work the researcher has NOT had access to, which is indicated in a book to which the researcher HAS access. Cf. - Meaning check, compare.
Bibliography
At the end of the article: listed in alphabetical order by last name (with initial capital letters). The second and other references by the same author (or authors) can be replaced by an underline (eight spaces) and period.
The order of the authors must be alphabetical. It should be given retreat spaces 6 from the second line.

Entering the submission, just below the name of the magazine appears the link http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0102-79722012000400005. The journal's norm is to insert, after the number of pages in the article, the term doi: followed by the number that appears after http://dx.doi.org/ (without space)

In case of omission of information about the rules on the magazine's website, please follow the APA's recommendations.
Peer review process
The analysis of the manuscript starts after the correct completion of the required fields on the platform. If the guidelines are not met, the text will be returned and the second time filed. If the submission is incomplete it will not be considered.
Texts can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, or English, but the magazine may require translation.
Evaluation phases
The evaluation process of the manuscripts submitted to Revista Angolana d e Extension University follows 5 (five) phases: Screening, Blind Evaluation, Review, Editing and Publication.
Screening : this phase begins with the submission of the manuscript by the author (s). Here the magazine does an initial check to verify that the article follows the magazine's guidelines and meets the standards. If not, it is returned to the authors requesting the respective adequacy. When passing through the screening you are able to proceed to the next stage.
Blind evaluation: the article goes on to blind evaluation, which can be simple or double view. In case of indecision or tie of opinions, the article is sent to a third reviewer to give their opinion. The result is communicated to the authors and in case of need for corrections in the article, a deadline is established for the authors to adapt the article.
The blind evaluation is carried out according to the following guidelines : Adequacy of the title to the content of the text ; Relevance, coherent development of the text and creativity of the formulations ; Structure, quality of written content and adequacy of theoretical support ; Language: spelling, agreement, references, coherence and cohesion and additional comments that the evaluator finds important .
After the evaluation, the following opinions can be given: Approved; A proved with restrictions, or mandatory corrections and rejected.
Review: this phase occurs when the article has already been accepted and needs adjustments that can be made to the structure, text, content, or other aspects suggested by the reviewers or by the text reviewers.
Editing : final stage of preparation of the text by the editing team for publication in the issue or issue of the magazine in which the article was inserted.
Publication: last stage in which the text is finally made publicly available on the magazine's website .
Taxes policy
The Angolan Journal of University Extension does not charge a submission and neither a publication fee to authors, or access to readers, keeping their articles free.
Final comments:
The journal is not responsible for the bibliographic references provided by the authors.
Papers, even if not accepted for publication, will not be returned.
The original articles sent must be definitively revised and adapted to the new rules of the Portuguese language.
The concepts and statements contained in the works are the sole responsibility of the authors.
The authors are entirely responsible for the ideias on their papers. The articles do not reflect the ideas of the Journal neither the Editorial Board.

Artigo que apresente descrição de experiência individual ou coletiva de proposta de intervenção pontual, que faça o contraponto teoria/prática e indique com precisão as condições de realização da experiência relatada.
Editorial
Texto redigido pelo editor, ou por entidades convidadas para o efeito. O editorial estará sempre virado para abordagens indicativas dos ideiais que norteiam a revista e as edições respectivas.
INTERVIEW
Entrevista realizada com pesquisadores Nacionais e Internacionais de grande relevância científica em campos do conhecimento que se enquandram no escopo da revista. Será dada preferência à entrevistas realizadas com pesquisadores com reconhecida importância no campo, considerando suas produções científicas mais recentes.
