Declaration of ethical standards

 

 

The Angolan Journal of University Extension (RAEU) it's a biannual publication of the Escola Superior Pedagógica do Bengo, Angola. The Journal publishes academic articles resulting from original theoretical or field research related to university extension.

Published works are distributed under a Creative Commons License (BY-NC 4.0).

 

Magazine Management / Editorial Team

The Angolan Magazine of University Extension:

  • Declares that he does not charge submission and publication fees to authors;
  • Gives guidence to the authors about  originals;
  • Gives guidence about responsibility with the content, including the list of references;
  • Guides and publishes retraction and / or correction in cases of errors;
  • Ensures peer submission for all published content;
  • Describes the stages of revision of the manuscript on the website in guidelines for authors;
  • Maintains confidentiality about the procedure, content of submitted manuscripts and respective opinions;
  • It advises on the neutrality of the evaluators and respect for confidentiality.
  • Asks the assessors to declare a conflict of interest, if any;
  • It rejects plagiarism recognizing it as a harmful conduct to research, which includes appropriation of others' ideas, redundant publication, falsification of data, improper attribution of authorship.
  • Provides guidance and encourages authors, editors, reviewers and technical staff to report any suspected misconduct;

Editor-in-chief and associate editors[1]

  • Provide instructions to authors regarding the preparation and submission of manuscripts.
  • Objectively declare the journal's policy regarding authorship criteria.
  • Treat all authors with equality, courtesy, objectivity, honesty and transparency.
  • Establish and finir policies on conflicts of interest for everyone involved in the publication process, including editors, production teams (eg editorial and commercial departments), authors and reviewers .
  • Protect the confidentiality of each author's work.
  • Establish a system for rapid assessment and sturdy
  • Make editorial decisions with reasonable speed and communicate them clearly and constructively.
  • Be alert to the possibility that editors and / or reviewers will delay a manuscript for suspicious reasons.
  • Establish clear rules regarding acceptable practices for sharing experimental materials and information, particularly those necessary to repeat the research, before and after publication.
  • Establish a procedure for reconsidering editorial decisions;
  • Describe, implement and regularly review policies to deal with ethical issues and allegations or findings of misconduct by authors and anyone else involved in the evaluation process
  • Inform authors that the submission will be evaluated according to the journal's standard procedures or describe the decision-making process in case it diverges from such procedures;
  • Objectively communicate the editorial policies and standards followed by the magazine;
  • Monitor the entire process of evaluating and revising the manuscripts and providing verification of plagiarism;
  • Keep confidentiality about the content and opinions.
  • Evaluate in a neutral and impartial way the scientific merit of the contents; 
  • Declare conflict of interest, at the beginning of the process or at any time;
  • Consolidate opinions;
  • Investigate suspected scientific misconduct;
  • Observe the different sides of the same question, that is, giving an opportunity for answers to the authors involved;
  • In the case of manuscripts in process, if the misconduct is confirmed they will be rejected. In the case of works already published, a letter of retraction and withdrawal of the article will be published.

 Authors

  • Read and understand the editorial policy of the Angolan university extension magazine before submitting your manuscript;
  • Declare the publication's originality and originality; 
  • Declare authorship of the submitted article;
  • Comprometerse a no presentar textos plagiados, o con sospecha de plagio;
  • Evitar cualquier mala conducta;
  • Commit to not presenting plagiarized texts, or with suspected plagiarism;
  • Avoid any bad conduct;
  • Submit his manuscripts after a careful and responsible review; 
  • Monitor the processing of the article submitted on the magazine's platform.
  • Comply with the recommendations made to the submitted manuscripts;
  • Assume full responsibility for the content of the article, including the cited references;
  • Identify and thank financial support, when applicable;
  • Make written retraction in case of error by the authors, or need for correction;
  • Accept being called upon to provide information in the event of suspected misconduct;
  • Right of reply preserved based on the principle that in any case of suspected unethical conduct or conflicts, the different sides of the same issue must be observed.
  • Obligation to write a letter of retraction in the face of confirmed suspicions of misconduct;
  • Get a response on the submitted manuscript;
  • Have the right to an objective opinion on your manuscript;

 Technical reviewers

  • Maintain confidentiality about the revised content.
  • Declare conflict of interest, at the beginning of the process or at any time;
  • Declaring unavailability if requested by the editor to revise a manuscript;
  • Make their assessments impartially and considering only the technical and scientific merit of the manuscripts;
  • Commit to collaborate for the qualification of the works submitted for analysis;
  • Receive guidance from the editor-in-chief on evaluation procedures in case of doubt;
  • Receive guidance from the editor-in-chief on suspected misconduct.
