In this interview, the Secretary of State for Higher Education addresses the issue of restructuring Higher Education and the urgent need to update the norms that regulate the Higher Education subsystem, in order to adapt it to the needs of the country's development. It reiterates the importance of extension as an action that is articulated with the other functions of the university, through intentional action on the part of managers, following processes of institutionalization of projects, articulation with teaching and research, seeking partnerships and mobilizing teachers, students and other actors. About curricularization, he argues that, by its nature, extension does not need to be curricularized, without neglecting the need for organization, planning and control. He talks about the importance of identifying good extension practices so that they can be taken as a reference and highlights, in this direction, the International Conference on University Extension organized by the Escola Superior Pedagógica do Bengo.
