University Extension: Practices and Challenges in the Post-Pandemic

Keywords: Editorial

Abstract

In the preparation of this issue the concern with the continuous impacts of the pandemic on extension activities was always in vogue. We wanted to understand how university extension reconfigured itself to deal with the emergence of a new context for this practice. However, and as expected, the articles submitted forced us to go beyond the proposed scope and consider the tentacularity that characterises education. Thus, this issue is, in addition to an attempt to present the creative efforts that people involved with extension have been forced to make, an invitation to think about the importance of understanding education and, essentially, the university as an action that should avoid the temptation of the narrowness of its gaze on society, broadening the discussion to include differentiated and current concerns.
