Abstract

This article investigates the value of the game Não te Irrites, also known as Ludo, in the context of Logical and Mathematical Reasoning. Based on the idea that games can create a more interactive and engaging environment for mathematics learning, the research seeks to identify the mathematical concepts present in the dynamics of the game and to analyze how they can contribute to the development of logical-mathematical reasoning. The study adopted a qualitative approach, with participant observation, and an interview was conducted with players of the game. The results reveal that the game allows the exploration of concepts such as counting, probability, statistics, strategies, and decision-making, and is perceived by teachers as a tool to introduce content in a contextualized and accessible way. The game can stimulate interest in acquiring mathematical knowledge and fosters active learning. It is concluded that the Não te Irrites game can be used as a didactic resource to contribute to the construction of mathematical knowledge in a playful way, promoting participation, engagement, and creative thinking.
