  Perspectivas educativas e a construção da cidadania no contexto angolano

  In this first edition of the Visão XXI Scientific Journal, we have brought together five research projects aimed at promoting scientific debate on educational perspectives and the construction of citizenship in the Angolan context. They focus on the challenges, innovations, and educational practices in different contexts in Angola, with special attention to higher and secondary education. The articles in this inaugural issue offer critical reflections on the role of education in citizen formation, active methodologies that stimulate the development of students' professional skills, democratic management in overcoming institutional barriers by expanding the participation of educational agents, as well as an analysis of admissions to secondary schools.

  In this way, this edition constitutes a way to facilitate dialogue between researchers, educators, and school managers, promoting an integrated, critical, and inspiring reading.
