Abstract

Este editorial apresenta uma coletânea interdisciplinar focada no desenvolvimento e resiliência do Sul Global. O nome da publicação homenageia uma árvore nativa, simbolizando a identidade regional e a solidez necessária para produzir ciência que valorize os saberes africanos. Esta edição inaugural reúne doze artigos que examinam temas como justiça cognitiva, políticas públicas de combate à pobreza e a história da participação feminina em Angola. Ao adotar uma postura decolonial, o periódico busca superar a dependência acadêmica em relação ao Norte Global, promovendo a democratização do conhecimento. A iniciativa reafirma o papel da investigação científica como ferramenta essencial para a transformação social e para o fortalecimento institucional angolano.

Author Biographies

Aida Neusa Gomes Nelson António, Instituto Superior Politécnico Independente, Angola

Doctorate in Sociology from the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Arts of Porto, Portugal. Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Arts, Portugal. Currently, she is a lecturer at ISCED-HUÍLA; Professor at the Independent Polytechnic Institute-ISPI, researcher and coordinator of the ISPI Multidisciplinary Studies Center. She also coordinates the implementation project of the Master's program in Sociology of Development and Local Intervention at ISPI, and the postgraduate program in Gender Policies and Non-Discrimination of the UNESCO Chair. Editor-in-Chief of the multidisciplinary scientific journal Mupanda.

Bernardino Valente Calossa, Instituto Superior Politécnico Independente, Angola

He holds a PhD in Portuguese Linguistics from the University of Coimbra, a doctorate in Information Science from the University of Coimbra, a Master's degree in Portuguese as a Foreign Language from the University of Minho, and a Bachelor's degree in Portuguese Language Teaching from the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences of Huíla. He is a lecturer at the Ondjiva Polytechnic Institute - Mandume ya Ndemufayo University and a researcher at the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies of the Independent Polytechnic Institute. Associate Editor of the Multidisciplinary Scientific Journal Mupanda.

Yudith Zamora Castell, Instituto Superior Politécnico Independente, Angola

Master in Education in the Specialty of Computer Science, University of Rostock, Germany and Atlantic International University, United States of America. Graduated in Chemistry, attending the PhD course in Molecular Design of Drugs at the University of A Coruña (Spain) and post-graduated from the University of Rostock (Germany) and the University of Granma (Cuba).
