MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
(Citations and bibliographic references)
The Journal RCK adopts the APA Publication Standards: Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7ª Edição, 2019) [https://www.dcu.ie/sites/default/files/library/pdfs/apacitingreferencingguide2019.pdf ].
EVALUATION PROCESS
The evaluation is carried out by an editorial board of experts, using a double-blind review process.
The analysis of the manuscript begins after the required fields on the platform have been correctly filled in. If the guidelines are not followed, the text will be returned and, on the second occasion, archived. If the submission is incomplete, it will not be considered.
Texts may be written in Portuguese, Spanish, or English, but the journal may require their translation.
EVALUATION STAGES
The evaluation process for manuscripts submitted to the Kilamba Scientific Journal follows five stages: Screening, Blind Evaluation, Review, Editing, and Publication.
Screening: this stage begins with the submission of the manuscript by the author(s). Here, the journal performs an initial check to verify that the article follows the journal's guidelines and meets its standards. If not, it is returned to the authors with a request for the necessary adjustments. Once it passes the screening stage, it is ready to move on to the next stage.
Blind review: the article is sent for blind review, which can be single or double view. In case of indecision or a tie in the reviews, the article is sent to a third reviewer for their opinion. The result is communicated to the authors and, if corrections are needed, a deadline is set for the authors to adapt the article.
The blind review is carried out in accordance with the following guidelines: Adequacy of the title to the content of the text; Relevance, coherent development of the text and creativity of the formulations; Structure, quality of the written content and adequacy of the theoretical contribution; Language: spelling, agreement, references, coherence and cohesion; and Additional comments that the reviewer deems important.
Once the evaluation is complete, the following opinions may be given: Approved; Approved with restrictions or mandatory corrections; and Rejected.
Revision: this phase occurs when the article has already been accepted and needs adjustments that may be to the structure, text, content, or other aspects suggested by the evaluators or text reviewers.
Editing: final stage of preparation of the text by the editing team for publication in the issue or volume of the journal in which the article was included.
Publication: final stage in which the text is finally made publicly available on the journal's website.
FEE POLICY
The Kilamba Scientific Journal does not charge authors a submission or publication fee, nor does it charge readers for access, keeping its articles free.
